Versant Health Vision Wellness Study
A vision for wellness: Examining how people perceive eye care, whole-person health & costs
The Versant Health 2020 Vision Wellness Study takes a deep dive into respondent’s perceptions and opinions of eye care as it relates to overall health and wellness, from the frequency of eye exams, to highly-valued vision services, to controlling health costs through eye care. The study found that while respondents say they primarily seek basic eye care services like glasses (60%), they place high importance on vision wellness and the ability of an eye exam to provide early detection of many chronic health conditions.
The study results point to a need for respondents to understand that vision care is a critical component of their overall care, rather than a separate, optional service, in an environment where care costs are rising.
